Successful Gallstone Surgery Performed at Apex Skyline Hospital, Jhunjhunu

A 35-year-old woman suffering from severe abdominal pain underwent a successful surgery at Apex Skyline Hospital, Jhunjhunu.
Rekha, a resident of the region, had been experiencing persistent pain in the right side of her abdomen, along with nausea, vomiting, recurrent jaundice, and dark-coloured urine. Despite receiving treatment at multiple places, she found no relief.
Her family brought her to Apex Skyline Hospital, where Dr. Naveen Mehla, Consultant in Gastroenterology, examined her thoroughly. Based on the clinical findings, Dr. Mehla recommended an ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography) procedure.
During this advanced diagnostic and therapeutic procedure, the patient was sedated, and a flexible endoscopy tube was inserted through the mouth to reach the intestines. An X-ray confirmed the presence of gallstones blocking the bile duct. Dr. Mehla then performed a sphincterotomy and successfully removed the stones using a balloon catheter through the CBD (Common Bile Duct).
Post-surgery, the patient recovered well and was discharged in stable condition.
Dr. Naveen Mehla offers daily consultations at Apex Skyline Hospital. The hospital also provides comprehensive services including kidney and prostate care, urology, neurology and spine surgery, orthopaedics and joint replacement, general surgery, dialysis, and 24x7 emergency care.
