Apex Hospitals Leads 100 km Walkathon to Raise Breast Cancer Awareness on International Women’s Day

    In a powerful initiative to raise awareness about breast cancer, Apex Hospitals' Cancer Institute & Research Centre organized a remarkable 100-kilometre walkathon on International Women’s Day. Over 200 women participated in the event, walking continuously in relay groups over 24 hours to spread the message of early detection and prevention of breast cancer.

    The walkathon was flagged off from Apex Circle, Jaipur, by Dr. Laxmi Meena, Chief Health Director, NWR, and Ranu Sharma, Additional Commissioner, Traffic Police. Full of enthusiasm and purpose, the participants walked across various parts of the city in organized groups, supported by a dedicated medical team and ambulance service.

    Before the walk began, renowned doctors from Apex Hospitals—Dr. Priya Mathur, Dr. Mallika Swaroop, and Dr. Aditi Mittal addressed the gathering and spoke on the importance of breast cancer awareness, timely screening, and the role of lifestyle in cancer prevention.

    Dr. S.B. Jhawar, Managing Director of Apex Hospitals, emphasized the campaign’s core mission: “To make people aware of breast cancer, encourage early detection, and promote a healthy life. Awareness is the first step towards prevention.”

    Mr. Rituraj Singh, Group Sales Head and coordinator of the rally, highlighted the overwhelming response from women across Jaipur. “The level of participation from all corners of the city shows a growing concern and consciousness around women’s health and cancer awareness,” he noted.
